Turn on The Night!

On Wednesday, in conjunction with the U. S. Attorney's Office Project Safe Neighborhoods, and the "Light the Night for Life" initiative, there will be a ceremony at the scene of South District's recent homicide. A spotlight will be set up at Pleasant Run and St. Paul, where representatives from the U. S. Attorney's Office, the City of Indianapolis, neighborhood organizations, the ministry, and IPD South District will gather. Everyone is invited to take part. Susan Brooks, the U. S. Attorney for the Southern District will be present.
I have attached a flyer regarding this ceremony.

Teen-Age Tall Tales

"Case number 040055970 - Armed robbery - On 5/22/04 at approximately 11pm, the two juvenile victims were riding their bikes in the 1200 block of S. Shelby. A white Astro mini-van containing about 12 h/m's pulled up next to them. Three h/m's, all armed with knives, jumped from the van and surrounded the victims. One victim fled while the other was knocked from his bike. The suspects took the bike and fled in the van. An older, red, 4-door vehicle with the rear window missing was following the suspects' van."

12 men . . . and a bicyle in an Astro mini-van?
